Yes the GForce author definitely has a sense of humour and check out some of those patch names which fully take advantage of the. The patch names were obtained by making AHK pretend to save every patch, copy the patch name text from the dialog box, and remove the. Then I manually counted each one of the 67 bank patch menus and stored these in an array in the AHK script. I used OCR to capture the bank names from the screen menu and stored these in a file. I'm a bit of a perfectionist at making sure the details are right, so I came up with a multi-stage process. It was an awkward one to Unify as nothing of use in the Unifying process is stored on disk. Hopefully the other 67 banks should keep people occupied until I get around to it! ?
I can see why I missed the download you have to scroll past all the other instruments, expansions and VST content and then there's a separate section right at the bottom of the page which says FREE Sound Libraries Streicher Sounds and Philicorda! Anyway, I have them now and will update the library and pass it on to John for the GuruNation in due course. I just checked back in my GForce account and found the missing instruments, so thank you. John had already fixed the links on the Unify web page but I think the email goes out the night before (morning for us in the UK) so clearly they will still be incorrect. I'm glad that you got the updated library. I think it must have been very awkward to convert as there are so many subdivisions in the patch list. Let me know if you cannot find them on the GForce website. Thanks for the updated guru file which looks great. Philicorda and M-Streicher are listed in the downloads section for VSM. I bought the download direct from GForce where it is also on sale for £40 including VAT. UPDATE: It looks like the GForce VSM Unified download in today's email from PG contains a link to the incomplete test version I sent to John earlier in the week to check for compatibility issues. The GForce VSM guru I sent to John contained 1458 patches starting with ARP Omni and ending with Yamaha SY-2, so that's what should be in the download. I haven't yet checked the GForce VSM guru in the PG email (although I did check the Warlock one and there was an issue with it I've notified John). I will add them in due course.īy the way, where are you finding these? (I can't find them on my system). I did actually notice the Philicorda in the readme file that came with VSM but I couldn't see it in my list of presets or when John showed it in last weekend's livestream, so I assumed that the readme screenshot was out of date. They certainly make it hard to find those extra presets and I didn't see mention of them in the readme. Just try saving a patch in the program and you will see that they all have the suffix of *.arse. Incidentally, you can tell this is a company with a sense of humour. The guru file that I downloaded goes as far as the end of the Chris M patches so I would guess that there will be an updated file soon.
Unified - GF Virtual String Īdditional Patch Libraries (Not currently included in guru file).Ĭopy into your String Machine Library folder which is located in your chosen installation drive :\ProgramData\GForce\String Machine Anyway, I thought I would detail the files and the order in which they need to be installed for tonight's livestream and future reference.Ħ.
The instrument has been developed over a long period of time which has made the installation process complicated (at least for PCs, I do not have a Mac so unable to comment). After browsing a few reviews, I liked what I saw and bought the instrument. I received John's email this morning about Jeremy's unification of the patches and was interested to checkout GForce Virtual String Machine.
